Version française plus bas. What a pleasure to read such a beautiful book! Its cover is so beautiful, it has this special thing that makes you want to hold it in your hands all the time. If you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, this is the exception where you should do it : the content, whether it's the illustrations inside or the texts, is just as rich and delicious as the cover! This is not a book of herbalism or pure botany: these are portraits of plants. Poisonous plants such as those you might expect, Aconit, Mandrake and Henbane, poisonous plants less often mentioned when talking about poison such as oleander, bryon, colchicum or arum, and finally, plants that you might find in your meal or in your herbal tea, such as apple, basil or rhubarb. What do these plants do in a book about poisons? That's what I like about this book: it doesn't limit itself to "classic" poisons (even though I like them very much) but presents plants that are considered harm...
